The Madison County Historical Society presents the 2008 programs. These programs are presented at the monthly meetings which are held on the 4th Monday at 7 p.m. in the Bowman Room of the Madison County History Center, 15 West 11th Street, Anderson, Indiana. Parking is available in front of the building and in the parking lot across the street to the north. Society members, sponsors and the general public are encouraged to attend and participate in these very interesting and informative meetings. See you there!

May 19, 2008--Jane Schultz: "Reconstructing the Relief World of Nurses".  The speach is cosponsored by the Anderson Public Library and will be held at the library on the third floor.

Bronnenberg/Brandenburg Symposium
July, 2008
 
The Madison County Historical Society is presenting this family symposium to gather and compare family information and update records.  The MCHS is requesting that the decendants of Frederick Bronnenberg who came to Madison County in the early 1800's and those of his brother, James Brandenburg of Richland County, Ohio, be our guests during the month of July.
 
Pictures, old newspaper articles and other data will be on exhibit on the family.  Also, on exhibit, will be several volumns and notebooks given to the Society by the late Roy Bronnenberg.  Anyone--family and friends-- are welcome to participate in this symposium.

The Symposium will be held at the Madison County History Center, 15 W. 11th St., Anderson, IN. Parking is in short supply; however, we have permission to use the 4th and 5th levels of the parking garage on the northeast corner across from the MCH Center. The garage does have an elevator for your convenience.

PENDLETON HOME TOURS of HISTORIC HOMES

The Historical Homes Tour will be a self-guided tour of four homes in Pendleton. Don Ifert, collector, will have on display his collection of Victorian Children's Theaters. You will not want to miss any of this!! Get your tickets on-site and/or from several downtown businesses. More information will be posted as it becomes available. In the meanwhile, mark your calendar and come join the fun, inspiration and beautiful historic homes!
